JWF ANNOUNCENS NEW TWO-STEP LETTER OF INTENT AND APPLICATION PROCESS FOR 2012

The Jewish Women's Foundation of South Palm Beach County (JWF) is an initiative of the Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.  The JWF seeks to expand and improve opportunities and choices of Jewish women and girls' lives through strategic and effective grant making. 

Areas of Interest include:

•    Health

JWF has a two-step application process:

Submission of Letter of Intent - Monday, September 26, 2011 (Completed)
1. Invitation to submit full proposal extended to agencies - Tuesday, October 18, 2011 (Completed)
2. Submission of full proposal (by invite only) - Friday, December 9, 2011
    Grant Review Meetings - December, 2011- February 8, 2012
    Final Notification of grants awarded - Thursday, February 9, 2012

If you have been invited to submit a full proposal, please do so by downloading the application below.

The deadline for submitting full proposals is Friday, December 9, 2011 by 3p.m. Please do not submit a proposal unless specifically requested to do so by JWF. We accept only fully completed proposals. No late proposals will be accepted.

STEP THREE: Proposal Review by JWF Trustees

STEP FOUR: Final Notification of Grants Awarded

The JWF will make its final grant determinations and grant recipients will receive notification of grant awards by Thursday, February 9, 2012. Funds for grants will be disbursed in two installments the following year: August 2012 and February 2012. 

Grant Criteria

• Grants programs should seek to elevate the development and empowerment of Jewish women and girls.
• We are interested in programs that “train the trainers” and pilot projects that can be replicated on a larger scale.
• We are interested in programs and projects that serve to develop collaborative efforts between organizations.
• Projects should also address a genuine need and provide measurable results.
• We make grants in South Palm Beach County, Florida, Israel, and overseas.
• Organizations seeking grants must have their own independent 501(c)(3) tax status.
• The JWF will not fund political campaigns, make loans, provide sponsorships, buy tickets/tables for special events or pay for on-going or existing staff and volunteer costs.
• An organization may apply for funding for only one project per year, requesting a maximum grant amount of $20,000.
• Multi-year funding requests may be considered.
• Grant dollars must be used within the time frame for they have been requested.

Grants Process

 To apply for funding, please submit the attached grant application form along with the following items:

• Copy of IRS 501(c)(3) letter (if you are not a partner agency of the Jewish Federation of SPBC)
• A list of your organization's Board of Directors and mission statement
• JWF project budget form
• Most recent annual report
• Organizational brochures, newsletters and other promotional materials
