Professional Advisory Committee (PAC)
The Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) is an integral part of the Foundation. The Anne & Norman Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation of South Palm Beach County continues to experience tremendous growth due, in part, to the efforts of professionals who have worked with the Foundation staff to encourage charitable giving through the establishment of new endowment funds, trusts, bequests, life insurance policies and IRAs on behalf of their clients.
The mission of the Professional Advisory Committee is to:
♦ To educate professionals from a variety of disciplines about planned giving opportunities for clients and to provide them with a forum for networking
♦ To encourage professionals to promote the concept of planned giving and to educate potential donors about the benefits of giving back to the community and to the individual donor
♦ To help advisors enhance their skills through seminars featuring nationally recognized and local planned giving, estate planning and financial experts
The Mitzvah Society came to fruition under the leadership of David Pratt, PAC chair. This prestigious society recognizes professionals in the community who have referred a client that resulted in an endowment gift to the Foundation. Each year those professionals who have been instrumental in leading their clients to make planned gifts to our Foundation are inducted into the Mitzvah Society and recognized at a reception. Since its inception in 2003, the group has grown to 55 members.
