Thanks to you, the United We Serve South Palm Beach County MLK Day of volunteerism was an historic day for our community and a meaningful event for hundreds of neighbors. Visiting our volunteer sites on Monday, we could not help but feel the spirit of community, helpfulness and enthusiasm all around— it was contagious.

In all, 670 people of different ages, races, and religions worked together to serve those in need. We planted seeds, served food, comforted the elderly, played with children, tended to the sick, cared for animals and — without question— made this world a better place.

You are to be commended for your interest, your compassion and your service. Hopefully, this United We Serve initiative will mark a new beginning for us all to integrate volunteerism into our lives.
