Israel Resource Center

The Israel Programs Resource Center is in charge of connecting the Jewish people to Israel through different experiences and programs. The IPRC coordinates, encourages, promotes and monitors information, referrals and financing to teens and young adults who are interested in travel education and experience in Israel who will return with enthusiasm, passion and commitments to Judaism, thereby assuring Jewish identity.   There are short-term and long- programs available, including studying, living, volunteering, learning Hebrew and internship programs in Israel for all ages.   We provide grants for local residents, ages 15-26 applying to qualifying Israel programs.

Jewish Roots the Student Exchange Program:
A Partnership 2000 program where teens from Donna Klein Jewish Academy, Weinbaum Yeshiva High School, and the JEC’s Club Chai, interact with teens from Kiryat Bialik, South Palm Beach County’s sister community. This program includes monthly seminars on questions within Judaism, video conferences with the teens from Kiryat Bialik, and culminates in a week long immersion trip to Kiryat Bialik for the SPBC teens, and conversely a trip to Florida for the teens from Kiryat Bialik, which includes home hospitality.

Israel Grants:
The JEC manages the Israel grants allocation from the Jewish Federation. These grants provide funds for young people between the ages of 15 – 25 to participate on an academic Israel experience of at least 3 weeks

Gift of Israel:
The Gift of Israel is a partnership between the family, synagogue and Federation. It offers the family the opportunity to invest in the future of our children and Jewish continuity. The Gift of Israel is a savings plan started when a child enters the third grade at his/her Congregational/Day school. The child’s family, synagogue and the Jewish Federation set aside matching funds for a period of eight years, which will insure that each student will have an opportunity for an Israel Experience when he/she is in high school.
