About JWF

Women Helping Women: A force that can change the world!

50 Trustees with more than $600,000 in assets.

The Jewish Women’s Foundation of South Palm Beach County (JWF) is an initiative of the Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. The JWF seeks to expand and improve opportunities and choices of Jewish women and girls’ lives through strategic and effective grant making. It also endeavors to empower JWF Trustees as funders, decision makers and agents for change.

Areas of Interest include:

  • Abuse Prevention of Jewish Women and Girls utilizing tools that provide precautionary vehicles to ensure safety and well being.
  • Programs that leverage Education as a spring board to create the next generation of strong healthy young women connected to their Jewish identity, Jewish community and their own sense of self.
  • Health and research that advocates for the medical concerns of Jewish women and girls, with a spotlight on cancers that affect women.

Our Goal

Making a difference in the lives of Jewish women and girls – that’s the goal of the Jewish Women’s Foundation (JWF) of South Palm Beach County. The JWF, an initiative of the Jewish Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, offers Jewish women the opportunity to be hands-on philanthropists and support causes in which they most passionately believe here in our
community and around the world.

Our Grants

Through strategic and effective grant-making, the JWF funds programs and projects that work to improve the status of Jewish women and girls. Most significantly, these programs proactively address the source of the varied challenges this group faces. We have funded important educational initiatives for teenage girls in South Palm Beach County, deepening their knowledge of Judaism and Jewish culture while helping them integrate Jewish values into their lives. In Israel, we helped treat abused girls to break the cycle of child abuse and domestic violence and supported a training program giving immigrant Ethiopian women the opportunity to enter the workforce to support their families.

Our Pledge

The Jewish Women’s Foundation, a diverse group of women representing various backgrounds, interests and ages, is being built by $10,000, $50,000 and $100,000 tax-deductible contributions, payable over five years. All Trustees – regardless of giving level – have an equal vote in the grant-making process.

As a Trustee of the Jewish Women’s Foundation, you can be an agent for change and positively impact the lives of countless Jewish women and girls. Please help us guarantee a bright future for generations to come.
