Star Pomegranate Celebration with Author to Help “Bridge the Gap” for those in Need, on March 15

An exceptional evening of celebration is in store on March 15th for women who help “bridge the gap” for those in need by contributing at the Pomegranate and Star levels to the Federation's annual campaign. Julie Orringer, the award-winning author of the novel, The Invisible Bridge, will headline the evening at Woodfield Country Club.The Star Celebration starts at 7:00 pm, with a special author reception for Pomegranates at 6:00.

The “pride” of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is about to turn up their power, recommit to their purpose and fuel their passion at their annual ingathering, the Lion of Judah Luncheon. The roar from Boca West Country Club on Thursday, February 16 at 10:30 a.m. will resound louder than ever throughout the community and across the globe, as local Lions celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Lion of Judah program. They’ll also hear from Campbell Brown, one of the most respected and recognizable faces in American news.

With Power, Passion and Purpose, the Federation's most philanthropic women will celebrate a ruby year with ruby distinction on January 18, 2012. This year’s Crown of Judah Luncheon, at the beautiful Hamlet Country Club in Delray Beach, will commemorate the 40th “Ruby” Anniversary of the Lions of Judah, as it recognizes Lions at the “Ruby Level” and above. The luncheon will feature renowned foreign policy expert Elliott Abrams, and honor founding Jewish community leader Mildred Levine.
Anonymous Gift Rocks Annual Meeting

It was the Federation's annual meeting and Anita Shalley, Director of Supplemental Philanthropy, sat with her husband Marlan, her dear friend Leona Brauser, and other friends and colleagues. For nearly 30 years, Anita has attended this event, celebrating the achievements of others. But an unprecedented and deeply moving anonymous act of generosity made this annual meeting a night none there will ever forget. And it's a story that simply must be shared.

The aromas of Passover will arrive a little early for women looking to bring delicious innovations into their traditional holiday meals. Women of all ages are invited to stir up their senses with new ideas to spice up and spruce up their Passover. This special evening with Chef Keith Blauschild will be held at Bloomingdale's in Housewares on 3, at Boca Raton Town Center, on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 6:00 pm. The couvert is $36.
New Pomegranate Giving Level to Be Celebrated by Federation Women at the Norton

There's a whole new level of giving for women at the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, and on March 24 at 10:00 am, its inaugural members will be lauded at the Pomegranate Thank You Event. Passionate, dedicated women of all ages who contribute $1,800-$4,999 to the Annual Campaign will attend, at the Norton Museum of Art. They'll reflect on what their contributions have accomplished, as they enjoy an elegant luncheon (dietary laws observed) and docent-led tour of "Fabulous Fakes, the Jewelry of Kenneth Jay Lane." Robynn Ginsberg, Wendi Lipsich and Randi Winter are co-chairing the day.

Israel Project Founder to Keynote Annual Jewish Women’s Education Day with "AN EYE ON ISRAEL"

Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi, founder and president of The Israel Project, will deliver the keynote, "An Eye on Israel," at the 6th Annual Dottie Lipson Educational Journey. The event will take place on Thursday, November 18 at Boca West Country Club, starting at 9:30 am. Chaired by Wendy Schlesinger and Loren Stein, the event is open to and has consistently had high appeal for women from all streams of the Jewish community. Dottie Lipson is again underwriting this important annual event.
Strengthen Your Style and Spirit at Bloomingdale's Morning

Jewish women of all ages are invited to a morning of fun and fashion, reflection and inspiration. At 9:30 am on October 12, 2010 the Designer department of Bloomingdale's Boca Raton at Town Center will be the setting for the fourth annual Spirit & Spice fall program. This first event of the Federation's exciting and powerful 2010-11 women's season will feature fashion experts and Rabbi Marci Bloch. The $36 couvert includes Kosher light bites.
