Flags, Music, Shofars, Cheers: 1,750 from Four Day Schools March on Campus to Celebrate Israel@62. Through Israeli music and a sea of flags, preschoolers, parents, JARC and senior apartment residents, and staff lining the parade route through the Federation campus were proud and moved by what Bill Bernstein called “the most beautiful sight I can imagine on Yom HaAtzmaut. Federation Welcomes Steven Schauder as Director of Jewish Education

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is delighted to welcome Steven Schauder as Director of Jewish Education. The position was created as a result of the Federation's recent strategic planning process, which gathered information from local synagogues, schools and agencies to evaluate the community's Jewish education needs. Schauder most recently served as Executive Director of the Friedman Commission for Jewish Education of the Palm Beaches.

 
650 Educators Learn at JEC Conferences as Torah Academy, Temple Beth El Teachers Take Annual Awards

This year, the Jewish Education Commission of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County worked with school directors to provide hundreds of local early childhood, congregational and day school educators with conferences, workshops and other professional development opportunities. Eve Garvey and Rabbi Mordechai Yachnes received the prestigious annual congregational and day school awards.

 
Flags, Music, Shofars, Cheers: 1,500 Students Will March to Celebrate Israel @ 62

Through Israeli music and a sea of Israeli flags, 1,500 South Palm Beach County day school students and 250 teachers will be marching in blue and white to celebrate Yom HaAtzmaut, Israel Independence Day. The community is invited to cheer them on and catch the spirit at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 20 on the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County campus in West Boca Raton.
