Barbie’s® Jewish Story to Delight as JWF Announces New Grants

Once again, the local Jewish Women’s Foundation’s cutting-edge, hands-on philanthropists have planned a most fitting, innovative program for Granting Wishes, their annual evening of grant award announcements. Women of all ages are invited from throughout the community for a screening of The Tribe, a powerful and provocative 16-minute film exploration of American Jewish identity through the history of the Barbie doll, at 5:30 pm on March 17 at Boca Rio Country Club.

Women who care about improving the opportunities, choices and status of Jewish women and girls - in our own community, in Israel and overseas - are invited to the informative and inspiring Voices of Women Fall Kickoff of the Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. JWF offers a unique opportunity for hands-on philanthropy through grantmaking. The program will be held on December 2, from 5:00 to 7:30 pm at the Gallery Center in Boca Raton.

Cutting-edge, renowned playwright and activist Eve Ensler, best known for “The Vagina Monologues,” will provide a fitting keynote as the innovative Jewish Women’s Foundation of South Palm Beach County (JWF) announces the recipients of their third cycle of grant awards to improve the opportunities, choices and status of Jewish women and girls. The annual “Granting Wishes” program and cocktail reception will be held at 5:30 pm on March 12, at The Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton. More>>
