Business professionals are invited to experience something fresh and exciting, profitable and engaging, as a cutting edge networking concept comes to South Palm Beach County next month. Jewish professionals on the Metro track will reach new velocities, making new friends and business connections at SPEED Networking on November 12.
Metro Business will open the doors at 5:30 pm with beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres, followed by SPEED Networking at 6:15, and open networking at 7:30. To be sure they are able to get into the speed “rotation,” the organizers urge guests to pre-register and arrive before the networking begins. Part of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, Metro Business is hosting the evening event in Zinman Hall on the Federation’s campus west of Boca Raton, 9901 Donna Klein Boulevard. Dietary laws will be observed.
"We were looking for a creative and fun way to help people network, something beyond seeing pockets of the same people socializing over and over,” added Devon Cohen. “So we worked on creating an environment where participants will meet 20-25 new people. This is it - Proven, Fun and Fast."
"Newcomers are most welcome, and will find themselves immersed in a gathering of successful business professionals - at a truly unique networking opportunity where they will get several minutes with a number of colleagues in sequence," said Rudensky. "And our guests will be helping themselves as they help our local Federation assist Jews both locally and globally. It really is a ‘win-win’ situation.”
“We’re grateful to Pre-Dating Speed Dating (www.Pre-Dating.com), and the Startup Business Boot Camp (www.StartupBusinessBootCamp.com) for donating their expertise to bring speed dating into a business setting to create a more efficient networking experience,” added Levine.
The organizers recommend that attendees bring more than 25 business cards to the event. Participants will also be well-served by coming prepared with sound byte of three to five sentences introducing who they are, what a good lead means to them, and their goals such as changing or finding a job, meeting potential customers, learning new skills, making social contacts, etc.
SPEED Networking is the first evening in a three-part series that continues on March 9 and June 10. A $36 couvert covers all three events; a $365 minimum gift to the UJA/Federation Annual Campaign is also required.
CM Graphics and Gateway Insurance are the generous sponsors of Metro Business. TD Bank, The Sandelman Foundation and Successories, Inc. sponsor the Metro Division.
