The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County is pleased to announce that Dina Burg is the organization’s new Associate Vice President, Women’s Philanthropy.  Burg had previously served the Federation as Assistant Director of Campaign Operations. She had also directed the Federation’s Gold Coast Division, has led numerous events and trainings, and staffed Federation campaigns in the Addison Reserve, Boca West and Boca Lago country club communities.

“I am honored and privileged to serve the Federation and our community in this new capacity. From our season’s first women’s leadership meeting, the excitement and energy could not have been more powerful,” said Burg. “Women are a driving force in our community, and the driving force for social change. Putting their resources where their beliefs lie, women are changing the face of philanthropy.”

Burg’s career in Jewish communal service has also included directing Women’s Division and Young Leadership for the United Jewish Appeal (now Jewish Federations of North America) Southeast Regional Office

“Our philanthropic women represent more than half the funds raised by the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County,” said Meryl Gallatin, the Federation’s Women’s Philanthropy Chair. “With Dina’s years of experience in the federation system, extraordinary professionalism, enthusiasm and commitment partnered with our skilled and dynamic lay leadership, we are clearly positioned for a successful campaign year. Reaching our women’s untapped capacity to give is critical, as in these times so many more – from young to old, who reside in our own area, in Israel and overseas, are depending on us for help.”

Burg has also held professional positions in New York, with B’nai B’rith, Anti Defamation League, AIPAC and Long Island Association of AIDS Care. For fifteen years, she directed a national department of the National Council of Jewish Women.

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County serves the Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Highland Beach areas.  The Federation’s Dorothy Seaman Department of Women’s Philanthropy engages women of all ages in the Jewish community, though philanthropy, education, events and other activities. This year’s calendar features even more opportunities to learn, grow and give together.  Learn more at www.jewishboca.org/women
