STRAIGHT 'A's for all programs!Extraordinary People, Living Ordinary Lives: The Jewish Association for Residential Care (www.jarcfl.org) is a non-profit organization that works in partnership with families to support and enhance the residential, vocational and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities. Their mission is to advocate for and provide an environment in which the unique value, dignity, and abilities of each individual are not only recognized but cultivated and celebrated. JARC was recently reviewed by the Delmarva Foundation, and received the highest praise-over 98% on all programs! Delmarva Foundation is contracted by the State of Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to provide quality assurance for the State’s Developmental Disabilities Services system. They work in partnership with the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) to improve the quality of supports for Florida citizens with developmental disabilities. The values they support and actively promote are rights, choice, full inclusion, health and safety, respect and dignity, and the person’s satisfaction with all services and supports. Quality Assurance Reviewers conduct Provider Discovery Reviews (PDR) to evaluate each provider’s performance and compliance within the service delivery system. These reviews include on-site review of documentation, interviews with staff, and observations of the environments in which services are rendered. The results of the review activities are reported to AHCA and APD at the state and local levels. |
