“Let’s Talk Football”: Men’s Sports Night Out with Desmond Howard at FAU Stadium Premier Club Lounge

Men who are passionate about sports as well as helping the community are once again invited to go all in for a tremendous evening devoted to both. They’ll be getting together for the annual Men’s Sports Night Out main event on February 9, 2012 at 6:30 pm - in an exciting new venue. Desmond Howard, Heisman Trophy winner, Super Bowl MVP and current ESPN college football analyst, will keynote and mingle throughout the evening. Hall of Famer Dwight Stephenson, an appearance by the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders, and other special guestswill round out a night to remember. Men’s Sports Night Out is presented by and will benefit the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.

“We’re thrilled to offer a chance to experience the Premier Club Lounge, Level #3, at Florida Atlantic University’s brand new On-campus Stadium in Boca Raton,” said event Co-chair Craig Donoff, a sports memorabilia collector of note. “Along with great game day food and drinks,an auction including sports memorabilia, a terrific speaker and more, the score is adding up to the best of nights for men of all ages.”

Prior to the Main Event, a VIP Tailgate Party at 5:30 pm in the Priority Club Lounge on Level #2 will welcome men with minimum gifts of $1800 to the 2012 UJA/Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County annual campaign and Metro Ben Gurion Society members. They’ll enjoy “pre-game” appetizers and drinks and the opportunity to mingle with the special guests.

“This Night Out is a great opportunity to enjoy a great evening of sports with friends and make new contacts, while helping support vital community services,” said Co-chair and sports agent Glenn Schwartzman. “We know we’ll be getting some real insider stories and analysis from Desmond Howard, joined by Miami Dolphins Hall of Famer Dwight Stephenson.”

Desmond Howard began his 11-year pro football career with the Washington Redskins as fourth overall pick of the 1992 NFL draft. His highlights include scoring the first game-winning touchdown in Jacksonville Jaguars history and becoming the first special teams player to be named Super Bowl MVP with the Green Bay Packers. His 870 punt return yards in a single season and 99-yard kickoff return in a Super Bowl remain NFL records. Howard was elected to the Pro Bowl in 2000, and to the 2010 College Football Hall of Fame. He joined ESPN in 2005 as a college football analyst, beginning a highly successful second career.  (bio below)

A $65 couvert includes everything for a great time with the guys. All men are invited, with a minimum gift of $365 to the UJA/Federation 2012 annual campaign required to attend. Dietary laws will be observed.
