Two local Jewish educators were recently honored for their professional achievements, with awards presented through the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County’s Department of Jewish Education.

The 2011 National Grinspoon-Steinhardt award was presented to Hillel Day School’s Rina Lanner for her exceptional achievement in local Jewish day school education. Her stipend of $1,000 from the Grinspoon-Steinhardt Foundation was matched by $1,000 locally to support her professional development.

Susan Shane-Linder of the Barry Ira Graff School for Living Judaism at Congregation B’nai Israel received the 2012 Gerald Legow “Outstanding Achievement in Jewish Education” (OAJE)  recognition Award of $500 to a standing ovation at the annual SPBC Jewish Educators’ Conference.
