Did you know you can feed the hungry with your appreciated stocks? The market is up and that means making or paying a pledge to the Jewish Federation just got easier. In fact, the possibilities for using any appreciated asset to meet Jewish needs through our Annual Campaign or the Jewish Community Foundation are endless. It’s easy and tax smart, too.
Through Create a Jewish Legacy (CJL), the Anne & Norman Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation (JCF) of South Palm Beach County is actively developing partnerships with local synagogues, schools and service agencies to ensure a strong, vibrant community through planned charitable giving. Thirty engaged leaders from throughout our Jewish community enthusiastically kicked off the initiative on December 6, 2011. The community momentum continues into the first of a series of CJL Training Institute Sessions on January 31. Working together, we have the power and ability to make a major impact for generations to come – with a wealth of customized CJL resources through our JCF.

Even at the end of the year, it can be difficult to be charitable when you wonder if your own family will need those assets in the future. But you can make a planned gift that allows you to enjoy the benefits of account tax-saving strategies and income producing assets, while making a meaningful, lasting difference in the lives of others. Planned gifts can be made now to support immediate needs, or enacted upon your death as a legacy.
