Extraordinary People, Living Ordinary Lives: The Jewish Association for Residential Care is a non-profit organization that works in partnership with families to support and enhance the residential, vocational and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities. Their mission is to advocate for and provide an environment in which the unique value, dignity, and abilities of each individual are not only recognized but cultivated and celebrated.

Jewish organizations have joined forces to make "Special Needs Family Day" a true  Jewish community event on February 13, from 10 am to 1 pm. Families are invited to join workshops on behavior, life planning and more, and to hear the keynote, "Bully Proof Your Child". They'll explore a Resource Fair of information on a wide variety of special needs topics, while their children or family members enjoy supervised activities.
